Dr. Jane Shure, one of the nation's leading authorities on resiliency, shame and self-esteem, has over 30 years of expertise in helping people claim their strengths, overcome their resistance to change, expand their perception and mobilize forward movement. Named a "Top Doc for Women" by Philadelphia Magazine, Jane is known for her ability to simplify complex human dilemmas, communicate clearly and directly, boost people's self-confidence and promote emotional and relational health and well-being. She writes for the Huffington Post and is a widely-cited expert who has been featured in several publications including O The Oprah Magazine, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, Washington Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer, and has appeared on live broadcasts for National Public Radio and CBS television.
Jane has a consulting practice with long-time work partner, Dr. Beth Weinstock, focused on Resilient Leadership. Together, they lead a variety of programs aimed to "Strengthen Your Inner Coach to be Stronger than Your Inner Critic." These programs teach strategies for positive self-talk that increase one's ability to bounce back from disappointments, move past what isn't working, take the next risk, and make difficult decisions. They focus on counteracting habitual patterns of self-doubt and increasing self-assertion, bolstering success in personal and work life. (See their website dedicated to fortifying self-esteem — www.SelfMatters.org — for information on upcoming workshops.) In her coaching with family-owned businesses or work teams, Jane helps people access their strengths, break harmful patterns and sustain the behavioral and attitudinal changes needed for success.
