The Women Who Are There For Us When Our Mothers Are Gone
A few weeks ago one of the elder women, closest to my heart, died. The night of her funeral I came home and wrote this piece. I dedicate it to all the women who mentor and guide others who are not their own:

Thank you for writing such a beautiful piece about my mom. You have and I know will continue to make her proud in all your life’s accomplishments, personally and professionally. My Dad was truly touched when he read this, as was my brother and sister. I was blessed with a truly wonderful mom and will try to carry forward with her ideals and true friendship to others.
